STREAMWALK
The MCC is cooperating with the Orange County Soil and Water Conservation District and the Lower Hudson Coalition of Conservation Districts in sponsoring a Streamwalk Program. During streamwalks, we assess of 400 foot segments of stream corridors in an effort to catalogue existing environmental and ecological conditions and to monitor changes over time. We encourage the public to participate in the Streamwalk Program. Attendees must be over the age of 14 and must complete a training course. Our next course is this Wednesday, August 22, 2007, at 7:30 at DeAngelis Hall on Lake Street in Monroe.
Copies of our Streamwalk reports are available in PDF format if you would like to have them accessible on your website.
MONROE CHEESE FESTIVAL
The MCC will also have a booth at the Monroe Cheese Festival on September 13, 2008. Information about the Streamwalk Program and the MCC
Neigh-BEAR-Hood program will be available.
