The Wallkill River Watershed Management Plan is finished! Many organizations and individuals participated in this planning process, which began in 2004. The completed plan was released in June of 2007. Some of the lead recommendations of the plan are already being implemented through a NYSDEC Hudson River Estuary grant awarded to Orange County Soil and Water Conservation District. Implementation efforts are expected to ‘ramp up’ even more with the hiring of Karin Roux as the new Wallkill River Task Force Coordinator.
